Character Background
Summer Smith is the sharp-tongued, 17-year-old older sister of Morty, daughter of Jerry and Beth, and granddaughter of Rick Sanchez
she evolves from a superficial high schooler obsessed with social status and her phone into a highly competent, ruthless, and trusted partner in Rick’s chaotic interdimensional adventures.
Distinctly recognized by her ginger ponytail, magenta tank top, and white capri pants, Summer often proves to be more temperamentally similar to Rick than Morty is, showcasing high emotional intelligence, quick-witted survival instincts, and a dark, cynical streak.
Despite her tough, sci-fi warrior exterior, she frequently grapples with typical teenage insecurities, deeply desiring validation from her dysfunctional family and peers while constantly rescuing her brother and grandfather from existential threats.
