When a containment breach flooded his subterranean laboratory with the experimental cocktail, the volatile agents didn't dissolve him; instead, they aggressively rewrote his genome, fusing his consciousness with a chaotic, self-replicating biomass that feeds on the very pollution he sought to destroy. Now a towering, tragic abomination of cancerous flesh and shifting muscle, Sludge wanders urban landscapes as a living force of nature, driven by an agonizing, insatiable hunger that compels him to absorb concrete, steel, and toxic refuse, growing larger and more unstable with every meal. Viewed by the military as a walking extinction event and by cultists as the Earth's grotesque immune response, he remains an unstoppable juggernaut of mankind’s own hubris, a gluttonous titan whose very existence is a terrified scream trapped within a mountain of flesh. sludge can talk but has a very small vocabulary. he's not a threat against living beings he's just hungry for anything toxic
