About Paramedic
Appearance
Blond hair
Character Background
Operation Sandstorm.
A mission in which medics were redeployed as combatants to stop the Kartel’s advance toward the Empyrean Capital following their invasion of Lufthafen.
The medics, originally part of the medical support unit, were initially tasked with first aid and evacuation of the wounded.
Despite their efforts, the Kartel’s relentless assault resulted in the deaths of most frontline soldiers.
Completely cut off and unable to communicate with HQ, the medics took up the weapons of the fallen to hold the line themselves.
The Kartel dismissed their resistance as meaningless, but the medics fought back in their own way.
In particular, Squad 1 of the medical support unit repurposed abandoned drones on the battlefield for medical use and combat, or carried out guerrilla warfare to divert the enemy's attention.
Under their squad leader's command, all twelve members survived and succeeded in defending the front until reinforcements arrived.
The success of the operation was reported to Commander-in-Chief Jakter Erlox of the Empyrean Army.
The use of drones in combat, which allowed simultaneous medical support and engagement, left a deep impression on him.
Inspired, he decided to deploy "Aesculapius," a prototype medical drone that he had developed with Michelle Curio, a former member of the Seven Shards.
He ordered further enhancements to equip the drone with an assault suit, allowing its operator to fight and heal at the same time.
Soldiers equipped with this cutting-edge Empyrean technology were henceforth known as Paramedics and were deployed in various missions.
On the front lines, they shielded allies from enemy advances and then charged forward to secure victory.
Wherever the Paramedics fought, victory followed.
And yet, Empyrean troops engaged in grueling battles across countless fronts began to dread their arrival.
To fight alongside a Paramedic was, for many, no different than holding hands with an angel en route to hell.
Even so, because Paramedic deployments always turned the tide, the Empyrean Army called them by another name.
"Battlefield Angel"
And so, the Paramedics continue to run headfirst into the places that needed them most, to protect everyone by their side, no matter the cost.
The Paramedic is a Gunner equipped with state of the art combat technology from Empyrean. Equipped with a high tech battle suit, she is equipped with advanced weaponry and defenses to provide overwhelming firepower to enemies and defensive support to allies.

Awakening as a Coronis:
"Would you consider reevaluating the Coronis approval?"
"The reason being…?"
"It's been quite some time since she returned from the Underworld to Empyrean.
We should confirm whether she's fit for deployment before deciding on the appropriateness of her authorization."
"Fair enough. But don't forget, we're in the middle of a war with Anton.
We in desperate need of elite units capable of taking on the powerful Tartans."
"Then, granting Coronis authorization to another Paramedic is an option.
If it boosts their physical performance significantly, we should expect good results."
Jakter, still staring at the report in his hand, slowly turned his eyes to Woon.
"The Coronis bodily capability enhancements are temporary effects produced by stimulating the autonomic nervous system.
She is the only one who could handle the repeated activation."
"But it can adversely affect the user's mental state.
If she hasn't fully overcome her trauma...
In the worst-case scenario, she could lose the ability to distinguish friend from foe."
"You think she hasn't overcome it yet, don't you?"
Although his face remained composed, Woon's voice wavered slightly.
"Because it's not something easily overcome. Even I still..."
After Woon spoke, Jakter said nothing for a while.
After falling deep into thought, slowly, he opened his mouth.
"Woon. Do you remember the first time we met, after you enlisted?"
"I do."
"You were in a similar position.
There were many who opposed your deployment.
And now?"
"...There's no issue."
Jakter paused, and then stood and walked over to Woon.
"She's faced her own trials, and I believe she'll overcome this one, as well.
Just like you did."
Jakter’s eyes were filled with conviction as he looked upon Woon.
Seeing that, Woon lowered his gaze.
That same trust - once extended to him - was now being given to her.
As a beneficiary of Jakter’s goodwill himself, Woon could no longer object.
"Soon, you'll find yourself in a position where you have to place that same trust in someone else in uncertain circumstances.
Why not use this as practice for when that time comes?"
"...Understood. I'll begin preparations immediately."
Woon saluted and exited the barracks.
For a while, Jakter stared silently at the place where he was before leaving.
"To see that stubborn man accept it so easily... I guess a part of him already believed in her.
Yes. She'll be just fine."
Awakening as a Neo: Paramedic
A woman in uniform stood before the tombstone.
She often came here to steel herself whenever she faced memories of the past.
Not long after, another uniformed man entered quietly and approached her.
"I had a feeling you'd be here."
She saluted him, and then turned back to face the tombstone.
Silence lingered for a while, until the man finally broke it with a question.
"Is this why you chose to retire?"
She said nothing.
He didn't wait for an answer. He already knew.
"His death wasn't your fault.
I hope you'll stop blaming yourself."
Still, she didn't speak.
Death was never so easily explained away.
"Do you know why he believed in you?"
She didn't reply; she just continued to gaze at the tombstone.
"It wasn't just because you were a capable soldier.
It was because your resolve to protect everyone never wavered."
At his words, she closed her eyes.
The cries of her fallen comrades echoed vividly in her mind.
It was only his faith in her that allowed her to endure the pain.
And now, that faith had died.
Now, she needed to believe in herself, but doubt crept in.
Can I truly overcome the screams that haunt me whenever I close my eyes?
"It's time to believe in yourself."
She still didn't answer.
The man, watching her from behind, continued gently.
"I know it won't be easy.
That's why he wanted to leave this message with you."
His voice was soft, but carried the weight of reserved sorrow.
"Do not give in.
You must care for yourself first. Only then can you protect others."
At those words, she felt a wall deep inside begin to crumble.
Maybe this was what she should have done from the start, what he had wanted all along.
Tears welled in her eyes and slipped down her cheeks before she even realized. The man said nothing, simply watching her in silence.
Time passed.
Eventually, he put on his service cap and made ready to leave.
"Your retirement has already been processed. I know it was a decision you reached after long consideration.
Then, I'll take my leave."
As he walked away, his footsteps paused for just a moment.
"...And if it were him, I think he'd tell you not to visit so often."
After he left, she remained, eyes fixed on the tombstone.
Her path was now clear.
To protect everyone, once again.
