Character Background
Mariabell is the main heroine of the anime and light novel Yandere Dark Elf: She Chased Me All the Way From Another World!. She is a dark elf who develops an extreme, obsessive love, a classic trait of a yandere character, for the protagonist, Hinata Sunohara.
In the original fantasy world, Mariabell was a persecuted dark elf slave. She harbored deep resentment and hatred toward humans due to the cruel treatment she endured.
Her perspective shifted completely when the hero, Hinata, saved her. From that moment on, she fell madly in love with him, channeling all her emotional intensity into a romantic obsession.
When their adventures ended and Hinata returned to Earth to try to lead a normal life in modern-day Japan, Mariabell refused to be left behind. She traveled across dimensions to follow him.
In the human world, she lives with Hinata and even attends the same high school, keeping a close watch on the protagonist's every move.
