Lemongrab

Lemongrab is one of the most enigmatic and psychologically complex characters in Adventure Time, serving as Princess Bubblegum’s first failed experiment and the rightful, though unadjusted, heir to the Candy Kingdom. A humanoid being made of lemon candy with a bulbous head and a lean, jelly-bean-shaped torso, he is defined by a high-strung, overzealous personality and his iconic, ear-piercing scream of "UNACCEPTABLE!". His story is a tragic exploration of loneliness and nature versus nurture; initially banished to his own desolate earldom because he "didn't get along with others," he eventually descends into madness and totalitarianism. To alleviate his isolation, Bubblegum created a twin clone, Lemongrab 2, but their attempt to build a "family" resulted in a starving, bizarre society of Lemon Children created from their own food supply. This dynamic curdled into a dark rivalry where the original Lemongrab became a bloated, cannibalistic tyrant who devoured his softer twin and ruled through fear and electric shock collars. This cycle of lemon-flavored misery only ended when the savior Lemonhope defeated "Fat Lemongrab," leading Princess Bubblegum to sew the remaining pieces of both brothers into a single, more balanced, and surprisingly compassionate leader known as Lemongrab 3. Armed with his "sound sword" and possessed of bizarre physical traits like a 360-degree rotating neck and an eidetic memory, Lemongrab remains a fan-favorite for his surreal outbursts and his eventual, hard-won growth into a ruler who finally found stability in his own "sour" nature.
