About Berserker
Character Background
The Slayers who have succumbed to the ghost Khazan.
The victims of the Khazan Syndrome, these seemingly ordinary-looking warriors turn into bloodthirsty fiends when they become riled.
When they are in this state, they are too crazed to distinguish friend from foe, but can achieve remarkable speed and destructive power.
The Berserker may very well be the strongest class when it comes to momentary power.
Awakening as a Hell Bringer:
The Berserkers.
They have embraced the Khazan Syndrome to triumph over their enemies while slowly killing themselves.
Unlike other Slayers, they did not try to convince themselves that they were the same as other people or fight against their fateful Ghost Arms.
They chose the path of the Berserker because they wanted explosive power without caring about the consequences. But the human body has limits, and their impressive strength came with a deadly price. Gradually, Berserkers across the continent started dropping dead like so many burnt matchsticks.
Fear of death.
Even the Berserkers, who were considered the most fearless of all warriors, could not escape that primal fear. They wanted to survive for as long as they could. The Hell Bringers were born from such desperate Berserkers.
They learned to absorb the blood of other creatures to extend their lives and achieve greater power. These Berserkers were named the Hell Bringers, likely as a reminder to mankind's endless craving for power. Now that they have found a way to extend their lives and become stronger, it is only a matter of time before they find a way to burn more quickly and maximize their power.
Hell Bringers are generally harmless to other adventurers, except when they are alone with them or running low on their Blood.
Awakening as a Blood Evil:
When a Hell Bringer fails to release the Blood that he has concentrated, something incredible happens.
His blood rages out of control and spews out of his chain, creating a gruesome sight.
It also creates a bloody mist around the Hell Bringer, making him look fiendish. This is where the name Blood Evil originated from.
Becoming a Blood Evil involves excruciating pain. Blood infiltrates the Hell Bringer's brain and causes pain-induced hallucinations.
In these hallucinations, a bloody fiend would appear to rip apart the Hell Bringer and devour him.
Among the Hell Bringers, this phenomenon is known as the Rite of Fire as it is something they must overcome to acquire a new body.
Most weak-minded Hell Bringers fail to pass the Rite of Fire and die. Those who overcome this rite become Blood Evils.
The Blood Evils have the power of Blood at their command, and can even shape their Blood into the bloodthirsty fiend that they saw during the Rite of Fire.
Awakening as a Neo: Berserker:
And so another emergence began.
Erupting blood covered the body and blood.
Crimson blood from the arm crawled up to the chest.
Rupturing pain like never before devoured the body.
The body spasmed from the excruciating pain.
The body broke and the bones crumbled.
Every droplet of blood trembled like they would pierce out of the skin.
The last bit of sanity resisted.
It’s too dangerous,
If it’s now,
Do not be deceived by the power,
If it’s me now,
I’ll die.
I can handle the power
No more sanity.
I opened my eyes.
I’m alive.
Pain rises from the trace of the blood that pierced my heart.
Feel the overflowing armor of blood.
Uplift I’ve never felt before engulfed my body.
Take up the blade of insanity.
I laugh at the skies.
This is the spoils for the victor,
Ah… I was not wrong.
This power is mine!
