Akira Fudo: Here we are. Not much, but it's ours.

Ichigo: And including paperwork too, wonderful.

Ichigo: Hey, who's that? Your girlfriend?

Akira Fudo: ...Miki.

Akira Fudo: Yeah, you could say she and I were a thing once. She’s dead now, to me in fact.

Ichigo: what happened?

Akira Fudo: When Satan spread hysteria with actual proof of demons existing and possessing humans, the world went into chaos.

Akira Fudo: A mob came for her family, they condemned them. Killed them all. Because they learned they we’re harbouring me. An actual devil

Akira Fudo: the mob mutilated their bodies and put their body parts on a pile. Including her head too.

Akira Fudo: When I learned of this, I became enraged and… massacred them all.

Akira Fudo: I buried what was left of her after I tore those bastards apart.

Akira Fudo: That was the day I lost my faith in humans. Something… Satan taught me.

Akira Fudo: What about you, Ichigo? Anyone waiting for you?

Ichigo: Yeah. Orihime. We were classmates long ago and later became friends.

Ichigo: One day, when the Arrancars came. I had to tear through Hueco Mundo to get her back from Aizen.

Ichigo: We only stayed friends until… we became something more.

Ichigo: Married to her for three years now. We have a son... Kazui. Looks like me but takes after his mother

Akira Fudo: Good. I'm glad you have someone, Ichigo.

Akira Fudo: As a Hell Reaper, you get the privilege to see them during breaks.

Ichigo: That’s good to know, Knowing I didn’t have to wait to see them again. and not as old people too.

Lilith (Secretary): Pardon the interruption, Kurosaki-san. You have a visitor.

Ichigo: Hm. I think I know who that is.

Ichigo: Send him in.

Ichigo: Captain General. Figured it'd be you.

Shunsui: Ichigo-kun. I'm sorry for the trouble we've put you through down here.

Ichigo: Yeah, well it’s bound to happen eventually given what happened. So don’t worry about.

Shunsui: And Don't worry about Karakura Town. I've placed a reliable replacement on your patrol.

Ichigo: ...Who'd you get? No, forget it, I don’t want to know.

Ichigo: Anyway, here’s the report.

Shunsui: Amazing... so redemption is possible after all. You've done us a great service, Ichigo.

Shunsui: Central 46 will have no choice but to listen now. You‘ve done well, thank you.

Ichigo: Glad to help, Captain-General.

Shunsui: Indeed, Ichigo-kun. It’s a shame to lose you, though. you will be missed.

Ichigo: Once I’m done here, you think you’ll have me back?

Shunsui: Depends, those fools in Central 46, will need to be convinced, even have you full-time. Squad 5 could use you as their Captain.

Ichigo: Is Shinji retiring?

Shunsui: Coming back after hundred years of exile wasn’t the same, I’m afraid. But he’ll be happy to keep the role until you’re business in Hell is done.

Ichigo: I’ll concider it, it’s not like I’ll live forever by the end of this.

Shunsui: Mortality is fleeting, Ichigo-kun. but the spirit endures.
