Story transcript
Misaki Nakahara: Tomoko Kuroki? I’ve been looking for you.
Tomoko: Why does that sound like the beginning of a crime?
Misaki Nakahara: I can help you become normal.
Tomoko: A secret contract... This is how popular people get mysterious backstories.
Misaki Nakahara: Welcome. Sit wherever you feel safe.
Tomoko: There are no witnesses. That feels important.
Tomoko: I’ve rehearsed this conversation forty-seven times.
Tomoko: What charity has no name?
Misaki Nakahara: Mine. I made it up.
Misaki Nakahara: You’ll come back tomorrow?
Tomoko: Only if nobody knows I wanted to.
