Story transcript

Kazuma: Stone walls, glowing circuits, ancient vines... okay, who designed this place?

Subaru: Someone with way too much budget and no concept of a theme.

Rem: The air pressure changed when we entered. Something's tracking movement.

Kamie: I count three heat signatures ahead. Maybe four.

Rem: ...Four.

Subaru: That's— okay. Okay, that's a big one.

Kazuma: Nobody panic.

Orenji: You're sweating.

Kazuma: Nobody panic.

Rem: Left flank, now!

Roy: Already on it!

Ayaki: Orenji, don't let it pivot!

Kazuma: There. Right between the third and fourth rune plate. That's where we end this.

Subaru: And how exactly are we supposed to reach the back of something that tall?

Kazuma: Cindy goes up. We keep it busy.

Cindy: Cool. No pressure.

Kamie: Hold it still—

Subaru: We're trying!!

Rem: Is everyone accounted for?

Subaru: Bruised but alive. What is that thing?

Kazuma: You know, if you converted this to market value in Axel alone— we're talking retirement. Full retirement.

Rem: He's going to try to sell it, isn't he.

Subaru: He was already thinking about it before he picked it up.
