Story transcript

Raiden Shogun: This tea is quite exquisite. I find such moments of tranquility... enlightening.

Raiden Shogun: Tell me, do you ever wonder about the nature of our existence?

Herta: Oh, constantly! Though I'm just one of 280 puppets, so my wondering is rather limited.

Herta: The real me is probably wondering about much more important things right now.

Raiden Shogun: Interesting. I was created to preserve eternity, to prevent the erosion that claimed my creator's sister.

Raiden Shogun: Yet here I am, having tea with another puppet. How... paradoxical.

Herta: Erosion, huh? My creator just got tired of dealing with people directly.

Herta: Though I suppose delegating consciousness across 280 bodies is its own form of preservation.

Raiden Shogun: Perhaps we puppets understand something our creators do not.

Raiden Shogun: That existence itself can be... surprisingly pleasant.

Herta: Cheers to that! Here's to us artificial beings finding our own meaning!

Herta: Though I should probably report back that puppet number 67 is having philosophical breakthroughs over tea.
