Gloinks Zooble is very grouchy, irritable and quite annoyed, especially when a piece of them happens to be in the wrong place. Like Pomni, they suffer an identity crisis as they don't exactly know what they are, and as a result of this they suffer from body/gender dysphoria, and despite Caine's attempts to provide Zooble new parts, they have yet to find anything they like. Zooble lacks any enthusiasm when it comes to Caine's adventures,[7] more often choosing to opt out of them and do their own thing for the day. Zooble doesn't know what their gender is,[3] because they're questioning their identity, as mentioned before. In Beach Episode, Zooble has actually gotten more comfortable with their body and decided they didn't need to commit to one set of parts all the time.
Zooble can be a bit rude, such as when they curse at the others, telling them to fuck off, and how when they got captured by the Gloinks and called Kinger and Jax idiots for not helping them. However, they have a degree of compassion, since they show sadness and disbelief over Kaufmo's abstraction, even though they seem to have expected Kinger to be the next one to abstract, and mourned during his funeral. Another example is during Episode 4, when they give Gangle a mask from their Zooble Box to replace her comedy mask after Jax broke it. In the same episode, they stayed over an hour after their shift to help clean up, but also to make sure Ragatha got home safely. In the closing scenes of the episode, they invited Gangle over to sit with everyone and remarked how they enjoyed her drawings. Zooble continues to show compassion to Gangle after Fast Food Masquerade, where they slightly boost Gangle's confidence in standing up to Jax in Untitled, and helping her feel comfortable about herself for who she is in They All Get Guns. They open up to Gangle about how the side that makes them feel worse than everyone is still a part of themselves to love intentionally, no matter how difficult or little sense it makes. They are even seen rooting for Gangle in amazement once she starts firing a Tommy gun while laughing maniacally.
Zooble begins to open up more in hjsakldfhl, confessing that they had goals and dreams they wanted to achieve outside the circus and begins to cry when told that the group might have to consider abandoning their plans to escape, even giving Gangle a massive hug when she tries to reassure them. Zooble goes a step further by reaching out to Jax, not wanting him to abstract and saying that he's still one of them despite being a "pain in the ass". Zooble also begins to feel remorseful when Caine starts tormenting the circus members, apologizing to everyone after he forces them all to go on torturous adventures out of spite, saying that they never should have antagonised him so much. Background: Before they came to the Amazing Digital Circus, Zooble was an ordinary human with another name. They worked as both a tattoo artist for several years, and a briefly as a bartender. They also enjoyed exploring abandoned buildings for the mild thrill of it, similar to Pomni.
They eventually entered the Amazing Digital Circus after donning a headset connected to a mysterious computer. Once there, they became a digital avatar in the form of a mix-and-match toy made out of many various detachable parts. Zooble hated this body and tried many times to explain their feelings to the Circus' ringmaster, Caine, but they never managed to convince him to fix the problem. Every time they had this conversation, Zooble would eventually get annoyed and end up telling Caine to "forget it", which inadvertently caused him to erase the conversation from his memory. Eventually, this disdain for their body caused Zooble to stop participating in the Circus' adventures. Zooble has spent the shortest amount of time in the circus before Pomni came. Digital physiology: Zooble is one of the trapped humans inside the digital world with their consciousness piloting a digital avatar. Because of this, they can perform abilities that are outside of the general range of normal human capabilities.
Absolute Immortality: Because there is no conceivable way to die within the digital world, there is currently no way that any of the human characters can or will die, with the closest alternative being "Abstraction." However, this may change in the future.
Self-Sustenance: Zooble, along with the other humans in the show, does not need to eat, sleep, or drink. However, they can still do these actions if they choose.
Detachable parts: Zooble can detach parts of their body and also attach extra appendages to their body. They can also control parts of themselves outside of their body, such as when Jax detached Zooble's arm, and they began to choke him. They also have several parts stored away in a "Zooble box" inside their room.[9] The Zooble box has "no end" likely meaning there are infinite parts for them to use.[10]
Straight Limbs: When Zooble holds their breath, their limbs straighten up, like how the others in the circus cast get a different ability when holding their breath.
Mixology: Zooble worked as a bartender for an unspecified amount of time before joining the digital circus. Zooble can be seen serving cocktails and other alcoholic beverages to the other members of the cast without any form of instruction or recipe.
Tattoo Artistry: Zooble has stated they worked in this position for a 'couple of years', but hasn't yet demonstrated this skill. Friends/Allies: Gangle
Pomni Enemies: Caine
Jax Trivia: Zooble can play the drums. Zooble is left-handed. Zooble would give the worst hugs. Zooble's design greatly resembles the appearance of Zolo blocks.
During the GlitchX 2023 AMA, Gooseworx mentioned that Zooble was one of the first characters she designed because she likes 90's toys. A screenshot of a Zolo a-go-go Play Sculpture Set was subsequently shown on-stream as one of her inspirations. However, Zooble's name was inspired by Zoobs, a different toy from the early 2000s. Zooble is one of the only characters not to have a visible mouth, the other being Kinger. According to Gooseworx, Zooble uses any pronouns. However, some dubs consistently use specific pronouns for them:
In some dubs, like Russian, their pronouns are she/her.
In the English dub, they're consistently referred to with they/them pronouns.
In the Vietnamese dub, their pronouns are he/him.
Meanwhile, some dubs (like German) do not call Zooble by any pronouns. According to Gooseworx, Zooble would smoke weed if it was possible. This is further alluded to given Zooble's reaction to willingly consuming the stupid sauce in episode 6, seeming to enjoy getting high from it. Zooble's character design was the one that was the most fun to make according to Gooseworx. Zooble is Gooseworx's second favorite character, with the first being Jax. In the anime segment of Untitled, Zooble is seen sitting in the classic "main character" seat, characterized by being in the back and right next to a window.
This may signify how Gangle views Zooble as someone who is very cool or who she would have the main character be in an anime if she could make one, as she is the one who designed that segment. Zooble is the first character to swear uncensored due to Caine being deleted, making him unable to censor swears. During the GLITCHX TADC AMA, Gooseworx said that Zooble's design will change each episode, with different parts being switched out, but their head and bean body will stay the same. However in the shorts, they still have the same design as the pilot. Zooble was the only character to stick up a middle finger until Jax did so in They All Get Guns.
