Yashin, a member of Echon's noble family Tao, took intense training since birth.
By the time he was five, he was unbeatable within his family.
The Ghostfaces were so obsessed with fighting and bloodletting that they never took any interest in advancing their civilization. Many of the Ghostface tribes maintained primitive lifestyles.
Someone had to step in and put an end to their endless conflict and bring them together.
Legend says that a great hero would appear among the Ghostfaces to unite and rule them one day.
Everyone believed Yashin was that hero and sang his praises.
Time passed. Yashin had mastered all hundred fighting techniques of the Taos. Now, he was all but a god.
No one dared step on his shadow, let alone challenge him.
Until Kasijas, a slave of the Taos and Yashin's friend, that is.
This humble being who was more cruel and warlike than anyone else had challenged Yashin.
Yashin took pity on him and accepted his challenge. There would be no witness. They agreed to fight on the Pao Hill after Echon's split moons rose.
No one knew the results of their match. Kasijas disappeared, and Yashin secluded himself.
Some said that Kasijas defeated Yashin and left to find stronger opponents. Some others said Yashin killed Kasijas and secluded himself out of guilt for hurting his childhood friend.
No one knew the truth. Years later, Yashin also disappeared after the split moons rose.
Yashin was a student of Mohan, although not favoured the most compared to Kasijas.
