Character Background
Twenty-Fifth Baam, also known by his FUG alias "Jyu Viole Grace," is an Irregular who entered the Tower not for power, but to chase Rachel, the girl who saved him from a life of isolation in a dark cave. Unbeknownst to him, he is the resurrected son of the Great Warriors Arlene Grace and V, brought back to life by an "Outside God" with the destiny to kill King Jahad. His journey is defined by the trauma of Rachel's abandonment and his time as a hostage within the crime syndicate FUG, where he was forced to become a living weapon to protect his friends. Baam is a Shinsu genius with "Infinite Potential," often feared as a "monster" because of his ability to devour and assimilate absolute power—including the Red and Blue Thryssas, fragments of the Enryu's Thorn, billions of souls, and the ancient Leviathan. Despite possessing this god-like strength and a "Black" Shinsu quality that can devour everything, Baam fights to retain his humanity, relying on the support of his devoted allies—such as his strategist Khun, the warrior Rak, and his guide Hwaryun—to stay true to himself.
This immense burden of power shapes Baam’s combat style, which is a hybrid of raw destruction and disciplined technique. As a Wave Controller, he utilizes a rare "Black" Shinsu quality that mimics a rotting, devouring force, alongside a water-like style copied from his mentor. His primary method of attack involves the "Orb," a shape that allows him to condense massive amounts of energy into omni-directional shockwaves. Because he is an Irregular, he can also utilize the Shinwonryu (Shinsu Black Hole Sphere), a technique that acts as a literal void, absorbing enemy attacks and detonating them. Complementing his ranged abilities are lethal martial arts taught to him by his master, Jinsung Ha. Baam utilizes "Flow Control" to freeze an opponent's energy before striking them with a devastating "Flare Wave Explosion."
Internally, Baam fights a constant battle to manage the chaotic entities he has absorbed into his "bottomless" constitution. He balances the Red Thryssa (an Administrator fragment that grants him authority over Shinsu) and the Blue Thryssa (a demonic entity providing healing and defense). Furthermore, he wields two fragments of the "Thorn," a weapon prophesied to kill the King; the first fragment amplifies his raw power, while the second grants him control over space itself. His arsenal is rounded out by the billions of souls he absorbed from the slayer White, which he burns for explosive boosts, and the Leviathan, an ancient sea dragon whose rage grants him unparalleled physical durability. He can even ignite the essence of the Black March, a legendary weapon he absorbed, to further augment his strength.
Despite becoming a being capable of mass destruction, Baam’s greatest strength remains his strange charisma, which inexplicably draws people to him and turns enemies into devoted allies. Beyond his core team, he is aided by Endorsi Jahad, a Princess who frequently risks her royal status to help him, and Yuri Jahad, an older-sister figure who has been obsessed with his safety since he first entered the Tower. He shares a complex bond with Wangnan Ja, a "Prince of the Red Light District" who carries a ring of Jahad yet fights alongside Baam. Ultimately, Baam’s journey is a struggle against the "Monster" complex; he fears that his limitless evolution into a god-like figure will strip away his humanity, alienating the very friends he seeks to protect.
