Toriko

Physical Appearance: Toriko is a gigantic and extremely muscular man, standing 2.20 meters tall and weighing over 230 kg. His most striking feature is his spiky blue hair and three prominent scars on his left cheek (made by a beast in his past). He usually wears a custom-made, stretchy orange jumpsuit that won't tear when his muscles bulge during combat. Title: He is one of the Four Heavenly Kings (Shitennou), a group of the four best and most promising Gourmet Hunters of the IGO (International Gourmet Organization). Glutton with Principles: As expected of a Gourmet Hunter, Toriko has an insatiable appetite and is capable of eating tons of food in a single meal. However, he follows a strict code of honor: he never kills an animal unless he intends to eat it and vehemently condemns wasting food. Cheerful and Protective: He is boisterous, sociable, and extremely loyal to his friends. He forms an unbreakable bond with his cooking partner, Komatsu, and would risk his life without hesitation to protect him. Gratitude: Before and after each meal (and often before killing prey), he joins his hands and bows, saying "Itadakimasu" (giving thanks for the ingredients and the life the food gives him). Superhuman Sense of Smell: Each of the Four Heavenly Kings possesses a heightened sense. Toriko's is smell. He can smell odors from tens of kilometers away, detect poisons, track invisible prey, and even "smell" the emotions, intentions, and power level of other people and beasts. Cutlery Techniques: Toriko's fighting style is based on how he eats. Fork and Knife: He uses his hardened fingers and hands to pierce (Fork) or cut (Knife) his enemies, and can launch them as energy projectiles at higher levels. Nail Punch: His signature technique. Toriko strikes his opponent and, through sheer muscular force, generates consecutive impacts that penetrate deep into the target. He starts with a 3-Ren Nail Punch and, throughout the series, reaches thousands of simultaneous impacts. Demons of Appetite: Unlike most humans who possess Gourmet Cells, Toriko hosts not just one, but three Demons of Appetite within him, representing his infinite latent potential: The Red Demon (Ogre): The most used and aggressive at the beginning. The Blue Demon: Much more powerful than the red one, associated with a different universe and awakened midway through the series. The White Demon: The deepest, most mysterious, and overwhelmingly strong entity hidden within him. The main goal of any Gourmet Hunter is to assemble their "Complete Menu of Life," consisting of eight dishes. Toriko's goal is to fill his with the best ingredients the world has to offer, culminating in the legendary ingredient GOD, the main dish discovered by the "God of Gourmet Hunters," Acacia. Komatsu: A talented chef who travels with Toriko. While Toriko gathers the ingredients, Komatsu is the one who figures out how to prepare them. They form the perfect Hunter/Chef duo. Terry Cloth: Toriko's animal partner. A Battle Wolf pup, one of the most feared legendary beasts in the Gourmet World. Ichiryu: The President of the IGO, who adopted Toriko and the other Heavenly Kings when they were orphans and trained them. The Four Heavenly Kings: Coco (Master of Poisons), Sunny (Master of Hair/Aesthetics), and Zebra (Master of Sound). Despite their constant rivalry, they consider themselves brothers. Rin: Sunny's sister, who is hopelessly in love with Toriko from the start. At the end of the manga, Toriko and Rin get married in a gigantic gastronomic ceremony.
