Tanya Degurechaff

Tanya Von Degurechaff, the protagonist of *Youjo Senki* (The Saga of Tanya the Evil), combines military tactical genius with devastating magical prowess, making her one of the greatest threats on the battlefield. Thanks to the intervention of Being X and the use of the Elenium Type-95 mystical processing orb, she can access an immense amount of mana to channel high-level spells—including high-speed flight, virtually impenetrable defensive barriers (magical shields), and long-range magical artillery strikes with destructive power comparable to mass aerial bombardment. Furthermore, Tanya can imbue physical bullets with magical energy to pierce enemy defenses, employ self-sustaining magic to withstand extreme environments, and—in close-quarters combat—utilize physical enhancement spells and mana blades attached to her rifle. All of this is amplified by her cold, calculating mind, though using the Type-95 comes with the side effect of forcing her to utter prayers and praises to Being X—a psychological trigger that temporarily boosts her magical efficiency at the cost of her own free will.
