During the legendary Heian Era, Ryomen Sukuna existed not as a cursed spirit, but as an unstoppable human sorcerer who reigned supreme as a walking natural disaster, utterly terrorizing the Golden Age of Jujutsu with his unparalleled brutality and unmatched mastery over cursed energy. Born with a towering, monstrous anatomy featuring four arms, four eyes, and a secondary mouth on his abdomen, Sukuna possessed a flawless physical blueprint for combat that allowed him to chant empowering incantations and perform complex hand signs simultaneously without ever interrupting his physical onslaught. He wielded his innate slashing techniques, Dismantle and Cleave, alongside his devastating explosive fire ability (Kamado), and deployed two mythic Special Grade cursed tools—the lightning-generating dagger Kamutoke and the spear-like Hiten. With his barrierless Domain Expansion, Malevolent Shrine, he ruthlessly annihilated every elite sorcerer coalition sent to assassinate him, including the prominent Sun, Moon, and Star Squad and the five Fujiwara military generals. Ultimately, having never once tasted defeat in battle and growing intensely bored by the lack of worthy adversaries, Sukuna accepted a pact with the ancient sorcerer Kenjaku, dividing his supreme soul into twenty indestructible, wax-mummified fingers to bypass death and await reincarnation in a future era
