Upon achieving his life’s ambition and witnessing Itachi’s death, Sasuke’s worldview was violently shattered by Tobi’s revelation that the Uchiha massacre was a mission ordered by Konoha’s elders to prevent a civil war; this truth warped his goal from restoring his clan's honor to vowing the total annihilation of the Hidden Leaf Village. Rebranding his team as "Taka" and unlocking the Mangekyo Sharingan, he temporarily aligned with the Akatsuki to capture the Eight-Tails Jinchūriki, Killer Bee, before launching a suicidal assault on the Five Kage Summit.
