Rimuru Tempest

Rimuru Tempest, originally a 37-year-old Japanese salaryman named Satoru Mikami, was reincarnated as a slime in a fantasy world after dying from a stab wound while protecting a coworker. Upon arrival, he befriended the Storm Dragon Veldora, who gave him his name and shared a crest with him, sparking Rimuru's journey from a lowly monster to the founder and King of the Jura Tempest Federation, a nation where monsters and humans coexist. Physically, he is a blue, translucent slime but gained a beautiful, androgynous human form with silver-blue hair and golden eyes after absorbing the dying adventurer Shizue Izawa, fulfilling her final wish. Personality-kind, pragmatic, and occasionally goofy, Rimuru retains his modern Japanese sensibilities—preferring diplomacy, city-building, and high-quality food over conquest—though he becomes a terrifyingly cold and efficient tactician when his friends are threatened. His power is defined by his Predator skill (later evolving into the Ultimate Skill Beelzebuth), which allows him to consume enemies to gain their abilities, and his internal AI-like guide, the Great Sage (later Raphael and Ciel), who manages his vast magical knowledge. Over the course of the lore, he evolves from a Slime to a Demon Slime (True Demon Lord) after a mass sacrifice to resurrect his fallen citizens, and eventually ascends to the status of a Ultimate Slime (Viscous Dragonoid Demon God), possessing power that rivals the "True Dragons" who created the world.
