Nicole Demara

Nicole Demara is the cunning, charismatic, and perpetually broke founder of the Cunning Hares Odd-Job Agency, serving as a cornerstone of New Eridu’s underworld. Orphaned at a young age and raised in a low-income housing district, Nicole’s obsession with "pennies" stems from a childhood of scarcity, yet her background reveals a heart of gold hidden beneath a layer of mercenary greed; she famously funnels the majority of her earnings back into the orphanage that raised her, leaving herself constantly struggling to pay the agency’s bills or her teammates, Anby, Billy, and Nekomata. Despite her reputation for being a sly, money-grubbing negotiator who isn’t above using her feminine wiles or sharp tongue to get a better deal, she is fiercely protective of her "found family," even giving Anby her own surname to provide her with a sense of belonging. Personality-wise, she is a high-energy firebrand with a "fake it till you make it" attitude, often projecting an aura of wealth and sophistication that is immediately undercut by a collection notice or a failed transaction.
