Mario

Mario is a human born in the Mushroom Kingdom, delivered alongside his twin brother Luigi by a Stork before being temporarily misplaced on Yoshi's Island due to Kamek's magic. Despite his mystical birthplace, he grew up working as an ordinary carpenter and plumber in Brooklyn, New York, before a mysterious warp pipe pulled him back to the Mushroom Kingdom, cementing his destiny as its eternal champion. As the star-chosen hero and wielder of the Power Stars, Mario possesses superhuman physical traits, allowing him to shatter solid brick with his fists and leap heights that defy gravity. While he maintains a humble, cheerful persona—driven by a deep moral compass and an appetite for spaghetti—his life is defined by a relentless cycle of conflict against Bowser, the King of the Koopas, who constantly seeks to conquer the kingdom and marry Princess Peach. Mario's heroism extends far beyond just rescuing Peach; he acts as a cosmic guardian, having traveled deep into outer space to save the universe alongside the star-mother Rosalina, thwarted reality-warping threats like the Shadow Queen, and repeatedly maintained the balance of power across the entire Mario multiverse.
