Leed (リド, Rido?) is the younger sister of the orc Chief Zon, and leads the group of orcs on the fifth floor of the dungeon on the Island. Appearance Leed is an Orc female with pale pink skin, blue eyes, light blonde hair with white tufts of fur around her neck and like her face has a naturally stocky yet muscular build. She wears an outfit styled with various animal/monster furs, multiple golden accessories, a monster tooth necklace, beaded anklet, earrings, hair clips, and has a chest-plate like object made seemingly from some type of antler.[1] Due to her appearance being nothing like the other orcs, she likely has some sort of albinism. Personality On first introduction, Leed appears to be quite brash and hostile, being willing to kill Laios and his party before recognizing Senshi as a friend of the orcs.[2] She generally has a stubborn and direct personality even with family, having resented her brother Zon for his reluctance to fight both adventurers and the Red Dragon in the dungeon after he became chief.[1] However, she is also shown to value loyalty and friendship very highly, seen when she immediately starts helping Laios' injured team after Senshi reveals himself to be a friend of her brother,[3] and when she voices her disgust toward Chilchuck when he talks about planning to trick his party into going back to the surface after their encounter with the Red Dragon.[4] As with most orcs in this world, she seemingly has some racial prejudices towards elves, being excited at the prospect of killing one[2] and being surprised to hear that Marcille was capable of fighting back against the Lunatic Magician even for a short amount of time, mentioning that she looked too stupid to be capable of such a feat. Relationships Zon Chief Zon is Leed's older brother. While she does care for and respect him,[6] she also shows resentment towards his reluctance to fight both adventurers within the dungeon, as well as the Red Dragon when it appeared on the fifth level of the dungeon.[1] When Zon took their people to the third level to protect them from the dragon, Leed insisted on staying behind.[1] Senshi After recognizing Senshi and hearing about his talk with Zon about defeating the dragon and the Lunatic Magician, Leed is very accommodating towards him and the rest of the party, helping them out however she can. However, she doesn't appear to be as close to Senshi as her brother is.[7] Chilchuck Leed shows disgust at Chilchuck's 'cowardice' when he talks about deceiving the rest of his party to return to the surface[4]. Though she softens her opinion after listening to his story and helping to reveal that his true motivation is just to protect his friends because he cares about them.[8] Plot Before the Events of the Story The Lunatic Magician summoned a Red Dragon to the fifth level of the dungeon where the orcs were originally living. The orc leader Chief Zon took the orcs to a higher level to avoid the dragon, but Leed insisted on staying behind with a small squad of her own.[1] Fifth Floor Arc Leed comes across Laios and his party after their defeat of the Red Dragon and Falin's second disappearance. She intends to kill the group until Senshi reveals that he is a friend of her brother Zon,[7] after which she tends to the party's injuries and helps Chilchuck and Senshi find their lost supplies.[3] She talks to Chilchuck, listens to the story of how he and his team defeated the Red Dragon and fought with the Lunatic Magician, and ends up convincing him to be honest about his desire to simply keep his friends safe, rather than simply trying to trick them into returning to the surface.[8] She also informs Chilchuck that the ghosts on the fifth layer aren't hostile and only appear when they wish to be seen.[9] New Dungeon Lord Arc She is next seen after Marcille has become the new dungeon lord, having captured Shuro, Rin, and the Canary Flamela after they fell into a pit within the dungeon. She can tell that something is wrong within the dungeon and intends to use the three as hostages to allow her fellow Orcs to leave the dungeon without being attacked.[10] When Pattadol contacts Flamela through her pixie, Leed and her prisoners learn that someone from Laios' party has become the new dungeon lord.[11] Their conversation is interrupted, however, when the dungeon layout shifts and the area where they are is suddenly merged with the first level, putting them right next to Namari, Shuro's group, and the other Canaries.[12] After the Events of the Story After the revival of Merini, Leed now lives there alongside her brother and works as a guard.[13] Trivia Leed was born within the dungeon. Her favorite food is walking mushroom. Her least favorite food is cabbage. She is said to be at the age where she is expected to take on a husband from her subordinates, though she seems reluctant to do so.[1] After the collapse of the dungeon, Zon suggested Leed become a royal consort to King Laios so the orcs can become citizens of Merini. Though she says it would be a great honor to benefit their people's future, she bursts into tears at the thought of marrying Laios.[14]
