Kuzuno Sekai

Kuzuno Sekai is the deeply flawed, hedonistic protagonist of Yasunori Mitsunaga’s fantasy isekai manga series Time Stop Hero (Jikan Teishi Yuusha). In his original world, Sekai was an ordinary young man until a catastrophic social media backlash completely ruined his life and reputation. Driven to despair, he wishes to escape his reality and is suddenly summoned into a video-game-like RPG world. He arrives with nothing but his clothes and a mysterious, magical game controller that grants him the absolute power to stop time indefinitely. However, this god-like ability comes with a lethal catch: he is bound by a three-day countdown timer in the world's natural flow of time. If he fails to discover and clear the hidden objectives required to "beat the game" before the timer hits zero, time will permanently freeze, trapping him in stasis forever. While time is stopped, Sekai does not age, physical objects retain their momentum when interacted with, and he can spend weeks or months training, moving, and strategizing within a single frozen second. Despite the high-stakes threat of eternal damnation, Sekai's personality is defined by intense opportunism, perversion, and trickery. He frequently abuses his power for shameless voyeurism, stealing gold, and escaping seemingly impossible situations. As he navigates this world, he reluctantly builds a faction of companions, including Fury, a fierce dark elf warrior whom he rescues from execution; Leona, a devout and powerful paladin; Nene, a beast-kin ninja; and Sera, a mysterious woman linked to the world's lore. Together, they unravel a grander plot involving a demon king and corrupt kingdoms. Ultimately, Sekai's overriding goal is sheer survival: he must use his time-stopping wits to overcome overwhelming monstrous threats, fulfill the world's cryptic quests, and successfully beat the game before his countdown expires.
