Him

In *Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z*, the villain Him received a purely anime-style makeover, operating as the true "Final Boss" of the entire storyline. Unlike the classic American version, where he appeared sporadically, the anime version possesses an origin story deeply intertwined with the series' mythology. 📜 The Origin: The Terror of the Edo Period In the anime, Him is an ancient force of evil that terrorized old Tokyo (Edo) centuries ago. The Sealing: He was so powerful that an ancestor of Professor Utonium (Kennosuke Utonium) had to use a primitive form of "White Light" to seal the demon inside a coffin secured by heavy chains. The Awakening: In the present day, when Ken (the Professor's son) uses Element Z to destroy a glacier, the resulting explosion releases White and Black Z-Rays. The Black Z-Rays are, in fact, Him's own fragmented essence. As they spread across the city, these rays created all the other villains (such as Mojo Jojo and Princess), who serve as mere pawns spawned by his power. 🎭 Appearance and Personality He retains the androgynous, flamboyant essence of the original cartoon but adapted to an anime art style: Jester Style: His look is a blend of a ballet dancer and a demonic court jester. He still sports high heels, heavy makeup, a feather ruff, and claws, but his movements are even more theatrical and choreographed. Vocal Bipolarity: One of his most striking traits was perfectly preserved. He speaks in a soft, high-pitched, effeminate manner, yet instantly switches to a terrifyingly deep, raspy, and destructive voice when enraged. Hater of Love: He has an absolute aversion to positive feelings, the scent of flowers, sweets, and—of course—the team spirit of the Powerpuff Girls Z. ⚡ Powers and Abilities Despite spending much of the anime trapped in his underground coffin, Him is by far the most dangerous character in the series: Black Smoke Manipulation: Even while sealed away, he could send out dust and dark smoke to manipulate the minds of other villains and wreak havoc on New Townsville. Feeding on Negativity: He absorbs human fear, jealousy, anger, and sadness to regain his strength. Reality Alteration and Illusions: He can warp the space around him, creating nightmarish dimensions to psychologically torture the three heroines. Giant Form: Upon recovering his fragments, he can increase his size and manipulate black flames capable of melting the entire city.
