Giselle Gewelle

Giselle Gewelle (ジゼル・ジュエル, Jizeru Jueru) is a Quincy and a former member of the Wandenreich's Sternritter with the designation Z: The Zombie. 🧟 Appearance Giselle has blue eyes and long, black hair extending down to her lower back, with two strands sticking up like antennae. Her attire is a variation of the Sternritter's typical white uniform, consisting of a trench coat with long sleeves, white shoes, and black leggings. She wears a small white cap, which features a black peak and the Wandenreich insignia emblazoned on its front, on the side of her head. She also wears a blue heart buckle on her waist. Giselle has a cheerful and nonchalant attitude. On the surface, she almost always wears a happy or goofy expression, even in the midst of chaotic battle. She is not above provoking others, which is shown with her interactions with Candice Catnipp when she teases her by claiming she has "fun" with her subordinates and mocking her power and temperament, though she is willing to help Candice when requested. Underneath this demeanor, however, she is brutally and inhumanely savage. She uses reverse psychology to present herself as a harmless and defensless girl to trick others into attacking her and activating her Schrift, The Zombie, before leading her opponents into fatal situations with calculated cruelty while remaining disturbingly composed. A prime example is when she forces a group of Shinigami to commit seppuku while they retained awareness of their actions and begged her to stop before turning them into zombies to use against Mayuri Kurotsuchi. She attempts to do this against Ikkaku Madarame and Yumichika Ayasegawa as well, though they easily see through her act. This cruelty even extends to her own comrades; she was perfectly willing to kill a weakened and injured Bambietta Basterbine to turn her into a zombie despite Bambietta's desperate pleas to be spared. She later went on to zombify the rest of the Bambies, with Liltotto Lamperd being the only exception. Giselle is also a necrophiliac, which is made evident when she hugs Bambietta's dead body after summoning it. Though she claims not to be a sadist,[21] she becomes overjoyed when Candice asks her to regenerate her arm, only to be disappointed when she realizes she's meant to do so without zombifying her. Likewise, she openly expresses how seeing Bambietta's face when she killed her "[made her] so wet," and she later proceeds to suck her blood and fawn over how cute she was, even in death. She is also very abusive towards her zombies when they get on her nerves. When Bambietta begged for more blood, Giselle smacked her and called her a "disgusting mess" before grabbing her by the hair and assuring her that she could have her treat once they dealt with Mayuri. Similarly, when Bambietta asked Giselle not to take too much of her blood out of concern for her own life, Giselle smashed her face into the ground while reminding her that she was already dead and that her blood belonged to her. Though Giselle displays clear insanity and harshness towards her treatment of her friends, she still cares about them, albeit in her own twisted way. She restored Candice's arm after it was destroyed by Ichigo Kurosaki's Getsuga Jūjishō, as well as Bambietta's during her clash with the Arrancars. After Bambietta's defeat by Sajin Komamura, she tells her that she and the Bambies would be sad to see her go and that they will "take care of her," which, as previously mentioned, happens to involve zombifying Bambietta against her wishes. When she calls upon the zombified Bambietta to come help her, she hugs her and shows appreciation when she tells her that she will protect her. Additionally, when Giselle believes she has beaten Bambietta to death, she tells her that she is very cute when she's dead and that she loves her very much. Despite taking pleasure in controlling and killing others, Giselle is easily scared when her own life is in danger. When Yhwach used Auswählen on the Wandenreich, killing several Quincy in the process, she repeatedly promised Bambietta that she wouldn't die, showing a rare moment of fear and desperation. She does not take kindly to insults, as she was offended when Yumichika assumed she was a man reeking of semen pretending to be a woman, causing her to call Bambietta to blast him and Ikkaku away in response. She also seems to have a high opinion of herself, expressing annoyance when Mayuri calls her a common folk. Giselle was initially loyal to Yhwach and was willing to do whatever it took to satisfy him, having at one point fantasized about receiving what she wanted as a reward for killing Ichigo, the Number One Special War Power. However, after Yhwach used Auswählen to empower his Sternritter while purging the weaker Quincy, Giselle felt betrayed and turned against him. She eventually cooperated with the Shinigami to help take down Yhwach and Jugram Haschwalth, even going so far as to slaughter the Soldat opposing her and the Bambies on their way to confront Yhwach in Wahrwelt. Powers & Abilities Great Spiritual Power: As one of the Sternritter, Giselle's spiritual power is on a level comparable to or greater than that of a captain-level Shinigami. Reishi Manipulation: As a Quincy, Giselle primarily absorbs Reishi from her surroundings and coats it with her own Reiryoku to form weapons. She has an easier time collecting Reishi in environments with higher concentrations of it, such as Soul Society or Hueco Mundo. Hirenkyaku (飛廉脚, Flying Screen Step; Viz "Flying Bamboo-Blind Leg") is an advanced Quincy movement technique, allowing the user to move at high speed by riding on the flow of Reishi created below their feet. Shadow: A Quincy technique that allows the user to move between dimensions using shadows. Giselle uses this ability to travel from the edge of the Wahrwelt to the Silbern. Enhanced Durability: Giselle possesses considerable durability, withstanding being thrown into a building by Ichigo Kurosaki with only minor injuries. Enhanced Endurance: Giselle is a particularly enduring combatant, quickly getting to her feet after being pierced by Bazz-B's Burner Finger 1. Schrift TheZombie Giselle withstands a grievous injury and uses her blood to force several Shinigami to kill themselves with The Zombie. The Zombie (死者ザ・ゾンビ, Za Zonbi; Japanese for "Deceased"): Anyone who has Giselle's blood splattered on them falls under her control, effectively becoming a "corpse" (死体, shitai) and doing whatever Giselle orders them to do, such as commit suicide. This aspect of her ability does not work on fellow Quincy unless they have already died. Once a Quincy has died, however, Giselle can summon their corpse at any time and remotely activate their abilities; controlled Sternritter even retain access to their own Schrift. The amount of blood required for a victim's zombification (ゾンビ化, zonbi-ka) depends on the strength of their Reiatsu; if it is low, a mere drop of blood is enough to zombify them once it reaches their brain, but if a subject has high Reiatsu, the invading blood must be diffused at the heart and spread throughout the entire body before The Zombie can take effect; this is why zombified captain-class individuals have reddish skin. Giselle's zombies can speak, although in fragments, and seem to want something of Giselle's; however, their blood does not contain special properties like Giselle's does, so there is no risk of opponents falling under Giselle's control by coming in contact with the blood of her zombies. Those who are zombified before death have fresh cells, so they possess better movement and reaction speeds; additionally, they are the only zombies Giselle can completely control, as their personality vanishes in the process. Healing: Giselle can use her power to heal her comrades by using the flesh of the deceased to replace their own. She can even replace a lost limb by removing a corresponding limb from a corpse. She can also reattach severed limbs to her zombies by holding the limb in the proper place. Additionally, Giselle can endure and heal herself of any fatal injuries which she may sustain in activating The Zombie. Spirit Weapon Heilig Bogen (神聖弓ハイリッヒ・ボーゲン, Hairihhi Bōgen; German for "Holy Bow", Japanese for "Sacred Bow"): Giselle uses a bow as her primary weapon. She keeps the short bow in a collapsed state within a heart container she keeps on the side of her belt. When Giselle clicks the heart, the bow pops out above her. There is a heart centered at the middle of the bow with the two arms branching out of it. The arms of the bow are shaped like linked bones. Giselle grabs hold of the heart portion with one hand and pulls back on a Reishi string with her other hand to fire like a normal bow. Heilig Pfeil (神聖滅矢ハイリッヒ・プファイル, Hairihhi Pufairu; German for "Holy Arrow", Japanese for "Destroying Arrow of Sanctity"): Giselle can fire powerful Heilig Pfeil from her bow. The tips of her Heilig Pfeil are shaped like skulls.
