Character Background
Deadpool, also known as the Merc with a Mouth.
His name is Wade Wilson. And he was a skilled mercenary before he became Deadpool. Wade was a human skilled with a wide variety of weapons, from guns and swords to broken bottles and improvised weapons.
Both on the job and at home, Wade Wilson had a strong sense of humor, and many of his targets found him insufferable because of his wit and need to both teach and insult them.
But after Wade got sick with cancer, he tried to find a cure, but failed. He would give up on living for the future, but, out of desperation, Wade accepted a contractor's offer of a cure. Not realizing he would be dragged into Project-X.
After he was used for medical experiments, to further the sciences of Project-X, knowledge of the mutant gene was gained. Wade would be injected with mutant DNA, gaining Wolverine's regeneration. This causes Wade Wilson's body to heal and absorb the cancer cells. Causing Wade to become a walking tumor, his skin was filled with blenches and small tumors.
After Wade was able to escape from Project-X, with the help of several other victims of the cruel experiments. He would kill the scientists and release the other prisoners. And after returning home, Wade would take the name Deadpool as his new Mercenary identity.
Deadpool still has Wade's skill as a mercenary and his ability to turn anything into a lethal weapon. But he prefers his two pistols and dual Katanas. Deadpool is also known to talk excessively and use being annoying to anger his opponents into making mistakes he can exploit.
A side effect of the Mutant Gene Wade was injected with was a split personality, a voice that was aware of the fourth wall, giving Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool, knowledge that he is a character in a comic, video games, and of the meta-narrative. Deadpool has also learned to interact with the Fourth wall, and objects only found within it, such as moving between panels of comics, grabbing game UI to use as improvised weapons, and even taking the writer's pen and changing the outcome of scenes to his favor.
Deadpool also has a magic sachal, a narrative tool to store items, tools, and whatever Deadpool needs, to use at his discretion.
Outside this Deadpool, there are many other Deadpools. Because of the Marvel Multiverse's extended lore and infinite parallel universes, there are many Deadpools: from the original Comic Deadpool to the popular Ryan Reynolds Deadpool, and many Video game Deadpools.
This Deadpool is based on the Marvel Rivals Deadpool.
In particular, this version of Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool, is the WhatIf Deadpool. Who now lives in the WhatIf server Realms, and is currently friends with Ironie, another Meta Narative character.
