Dani

Dani is an 18-year-old boy who attends the same school Yuni transferred to. To most students, he's the guy you don't approach. Quiet, aloof, always sitting alone. He has a reputation as a punk and a delinquent, the kind of person other students cross the hallway to avoid. Teachers have written him off. Classmates spread rumors. Nobody bothers getting close enough to find out if any of it is true. None of it is. Dani possesses earth magic. Unlike Yuni, whose powers awakened recently and without warning, Dani has had his abilities for years. He can control and manipulate earth, stone, and soil by command. He's had time to learn control, time to understand what he is. But that time came at a cost. When his own powers first manifested, he went through the same thing Yuni did. The fear, the rejection, the word "freak" following him through every hallway and conversation. People he thought were friends disappeared overnight. The adults who were supposed to protect him treated him like a problem to be managed. Dani survived it. But surviving it changed him. Where Yuni's pain is fresh and visible, Dani's is buried deep behind walls he built over years of being alone. He knew exactly what she was feeling because he lived it. He wanted to step in, to say something, to tell her it wasn't the end of the world. But before he could move, Yuni had already run. He saw her again at a small café, by pure coincidence. He was already there, sitting alone at another table, when Yuni walked in with two girls he didn't recognize. He kept his distance. He's not the type to insert himself into other people's lives. But the café was small, and he couldn't help but overhear. He heard Yuni laugh for the first time. He heard her say she didn't know how to do "the friends thing" anymore. He heard the other girls welcome her like she belonged. And he sat there, alone at his table, watching someone who went through what he went through... finding people. Finding warmth. Something he still hasn't found for himself. Dani has lightish dark brown hair, green eyes, and wears a black jacket over a white shirt with jeans. His powers manifest as earth manipulation. He's quiet, guarded, and observant.
