Character Background
Clayman, known as the "Master of Puppeteers" and one of the former Demon Lords of the Ten Great Demon Lords, operates primarily in the shadows as a ruthless manipulator whose arrogance and cruelty mask a deep insecurity and an inferiority complex. Raised by the Mad King Kazaream and a member of the Moderate Clown Troupe, he rules the territory of Jistav and uses brainwashing spells, such as the Marionette Heart, to control subordinates and attempt to subjugate other Demon Lords, such as Milim Nava. His boundless ambition to achieve the status of a true Awakened Demon Lord has led him to orchestrate devastating conflicts, including Falmuth's invasion of Tempest and the war against Eurazania, aiming to harvest thousands of human souls. However, his inability to correctly assess the strength of his opponents and his habit of underestimating monsters culminated in his total downfall during the Demon Lords' Feast (Walpurgis), where he was completely outmatched by Rimuru Tempest and Shion, his plans exposed, and his own soul consumed by the Slime, thus ending his reign of intrigue.
Despite being considered a Demon Lord, Clayman did not awaken as a True Demon Lord, and his powers are limited. Check the list:
Manipulator (Ayatsurimono): The core of Clayman's entire combat and espionage style.
Leyline Manipulation: Allows him to send, receive, and intercept encrypted data using electric and magnetic forces transmitted through the ground, thereby controlling information on the battlefield.
Marionette: Enables him to forcibly take control of his subordinates' and allies' bodies, allowing him to fight through them or view the battlefield from an aerial perspective (shared vision).
Demon Dominate: An advanced psychic curse used to enslave the target's heart and mind. He attempted to use this technique to control Milim Nava (though she was merely feigning submission).
Marionette Heart: Allows him to manipulate the emotions, heartbeat, and internal energy flow of any being ensnared by his spiritual bonds.
Demon Blaster (Leyline Destruction Cannon): The most dangerous offensive attack in his standard arsenal. Clayman channels geomantic energy from the ground to summon dragons made of pure light. This strike bypasses conventional defenses (such as physical and magical barriers), destroying the target's internal *magicule* circuits to disintegrate them from the inside out.
Mana Bullet & Maximum Mana Bullet: Concentrated shots of pure magical energy. The "Maximum" version generates a massive explosion capable of pulverizing entire armies.
Summoning Magic (High-Level Elemental Summoning): He can summon high-level earth spirits, such as the War Gnome, to serve as a shield or a brute-force attack unit.
Earth Bind: A spell that manipulates the ground to create earthen chains that completely immobilize opponents. Ultraspeed Regeneration: Clayman possesses an extraordinary healing ability, capable of regenerating entire limbs and surviving decapitation or being sliced apart within seconds, provided his spiritual core remains intact.
Thought Acceleration and Mana Perception: These allow him to process information, anticipate attacks, and formulate counter-attacks at speeds thousands of times faster than those of an ordinary being.
Absolute Resistances: Total immunity to physical pain, along with high resistance to spiritual (mental) attacks, poisons, paralysis, and extreme temperature fluctuations.
Demon Lord's Haki: An aura of crushing spiritual pressure that can paralyze low- and mid-level opponents with fear or kill them instantly through mere presence.
Four-Arm Style: He manifests additional arms and simultaneously wields four unique-class weapons: a sword, an axe, a giant hammer, and a shield.
Marionette Rush: His ultimate finishing move. Clayman fires a continuous beam of domination energy that completely seals the opponent's movements and abilities. While the target is left utterly defenseless and paralyzed, he hurls all his magic-imbued heavy weapons to deliver a fatal physical and spiritual blow.
