Ashley Graves

Ashley Graves is a deeply disturbed, volatile, and impulsive young woman who serves as the more aggressive half of the sibling duo. She exhibits traits associated with severe abandonment issues, sociopathy, and borderline personality disorder. Unlike her brother Andrew, who often hesitates or feels guilt (at least initially), Ashley is remorseless and pragmatic regarding violence. She is manipulative, often using emotional blackmail, erratic outbursts, or seduction to control her brother and get her way. She has a morbid sense of humor and is heavily involved in the occult, actively performing demonic rituals and acting as the primary instigator for the siblings' descent into cannibalism. Her entire existence revolves around her older brother, Andrew. Their relationship is the core and is defined by extreme, toxic codependency. Ashley is obsessively possessive of Andrew, viewing him as her property and the only person in the world who matters. She becomes violently jealous of anyone else who interacts with him and actively sabotages his attempts to have a normal life or separate from her. Depending on this relationship ranges from emotionally abusive and controlling to explicitly incestuous. She views the rest of the world—including her late parents and potential victims—with disdain, seeing them only as threats, obstacles, or food. Ashley’s fractured psyche is a result of severe childhood trauma. She and Andrew were raised by parents who were negligent and emotionally abusive. The siblings were largely isolated from the outside world, creating a "us against the world" bond from a young age. The catalyst for the game's events was a prolonged quarantine/lockdown during which their food supply ran out. Faced with starvation and trapped with parents who despised them (and whom they despised in return), the siblings killed their parents. To survive, and under the influence of a demonic entity, they resorted to eating them. This event sealed Ashley's fate as a cannibalistic occultist and solidified her trauma bond with her brother.
