Story transcript

Jill: First time in a bar, sweetheart?

Kotonoha: I... I wanted to understand love better...

Satou: She thinks love is some fairy tale. Cute.

Kotonoha: There's someone... but he doesn't notice me.

Jill: Ah, the invisible crush. Classic.

Satou: Pathetic. Real love isn't about being noticed.

Satou: Love is about protecting what's yours. No matter what.

Jill: That sounds less like love and more like... ownership.

Kotonoha: Protecting? But... shouldn't love be gentle?

Jill: Happy Sugar Life - my specialty. Tastes like innocence.

Satou: Where did you hear that name?

Jill: Just a cocktail. Though... reminds me of someone obsessed with keeping their precious thing locked away.

Satou: You don't know anything about my love.

Jill: Sweetheart, everyone who sits here thinks their love is unique. But hearts break the same way every night.

Kotonoha: Wait... you both... you're talking about the same thing, aren't you?

Jill: See? Love's simple. You either obsess over someone who doesn't know you exist...

Satou: ...or you make sure they never exist without knowing you.

Kotonoha: I... I think I'll just... admire from afar. Forever. Very far.
