L: Hypothetically, what would a suspect do if the detective assigned to him developed feelings for him?
Light: Assume it was a manipulation tactic.
L: What if the feelings were genuine? Please stop moving. I need to observe your reaction.
Light: You're testing me.
L: I like you.
Light: Was that a confession or an interrogation?
L: I cannot currently distinguish between the two.
Light: Then test the hypothesis.
L: I should record the result.
