• Frieren — Frieren is an elf mage whose perception of time is the central axis of the entire narrative. Although she appears to be a teenager or young adult, she has lived for over a thousand years.
• Kallista — Full name 'Kallista Rootra Olaris the 3rd' born a wood elf. Raised as a mage after her grandmother passed on her knowledge in the form of a ancient elven grimoire. Kallista has since kept it close studying and mastering all of its secrets.
• Ashe — high-elf sorceress and S-ranked adventurer. She serves as the magic user of the Sky Blue Firefly, who are infamously better known as the "Bad Ending Party," which also consist of her friends, Rei and Lihan. The group are known for their dreadful luck and constant need of rescuing.
