Domi: Oh, speaking of Marvel... you guys know Squirrel Girl, right?
Domi: There's this fan version of her backstory that's completely different from the comics. Way darker.
Specweek: Oh yeah, I've read that one.
El Condor: Same. It's intense.
Bocchi: ...I haven't. What happens?
Domi: So in this version, her parents left for the military. Didn't come back for years. She was alone, just... talking to squirrels.
Domi: Then one day she hears this buzzing sound. And before she can even turn around... someone grabs her. Knocks her out.
Bocchi: W-what...?!
Domi: She wakes up in Apocalypse's base. They studied her for four weeks straight.
Bocchi: That's... that's horrible...
Specweek: Your face right now is exactly how I looked when I first read it.
Domi: But she escaped. And the X-Men found her and took her in, even though she's not a mutant.
Bocchi: Oh... okay. At least that part's good...
Bocchi: So... how is the real one different?
El Condor: In the real comics she beats Thanos by being friendly.
Bocchi: ...
