Story transcript

Grace Howard: Look at this magnificent technology! Direct neural interface with machines... imagine the potential!

Grace Howard: Once we fully integrate this psycommune interface, New Eridu's security operations will be revolutionized!

Kamille Bidan: Grace, I've been there. The biosensor in Zeta Gundam promised the same 'revolutionary' connection.

Kamille Bidan: But it cost me my consciousness. For months, I was nothing but an empty shell. Is that the price you're willing to pay?

Grace Howard: That was old technology, primitive compared to what we have now. Our scientists have refined the neural interfaces.

Grace Howard: Besides, the benefits outweigh the risks. Think about how many lives we could save!

Murasame Four: Every time I piloted the Psycho Gundam, pieces of myself disappeared. My memories, my identity...

Murasame Four: The machines don't just take your thoughts, Grace. They take who you are.

Puru Two: Do you know why I exist, Agent Howard? I wasn't born - I was manufactured.

Puru Two: My sisters and I were created only to connect with machines. We were weapons, not people. Is that what you want to become?

Grace Howard: I just wanted to make a difference. To protect New Eridu more effectively...

Grace Howard: (What if they're right? What am I really surrendering to this technology?)

Murasame Four: The true power isn't in merging with machines, Grace.

Murasame Four: It's in remembering what makes us human when we use them.

Grace Howard: I think New Eridu can wait for this technology. At least until we understand what we're really connecting to.

Grace Howard: Maybe being an agent is about knowing when not to pull the trigger, even on a good idea.
