Story transcript

Vox (young): You're an inspiration. Seriously. All modern entertainment started with radio, you know?

Alastor: How flattering. Do go on.

Alastor: Your influence grew without you having to sell your soul to anyone... wow.

Vox (young): With new overlords arriving every day, a radio and video partnership benefits us both.

Vox (young): So I was thinking... what if we joined forces? You and me, partners. We'd be unstoppable.

Alastor: HA! Oh, that's rich! Partners? You and me? Oh my, I haven't laughed this hard in decades!

Vox (young): I... I just thought, as friends...

Alastor: Friends? In HELL? Oh, you poor thing. There are no friends here. Only pawns and players.

Alastor: Honestly, Vincent... it's a little shameful. Begging for a seat at someone else's table.

Vox (young): (That’s wrong. There could have been at least ONE friendship in hell.)

Vox (young): ...Heh. You got it all wrong. I didn't offer because I need you. I offered because I like you. I wanted to share the climb with you.

Alastor: How touching.

Vox (young): But... if you'd rather stay with just your... radio...

Alastor: Do you think I need you? You know I can handle things on my own.

Vox (young): Of course, you are perfect. You don't trust anyone, and that is right.

Vox (young): ...depending on brute power alone all of the time? That's your call, Al. All yours.
