Story transcript

Cornelia li Britannia: The Britannian Empire has conquered one-third of the world through superior military tactics and technology.

Cornelia li Britannia: Our system of Areas and Numbers brings order to chaos. Strength determines worth - that is the natural law.

Prinz Eugen: How quaint. The Iron Blood doesn't need fancy numbers to label our conquests.

Prinz Eugen: We simply crush our enemies with superior engineering and firepower. Our warships alone are worth ten of your Knightmare Frames.

Millize Vladilena: The Republic of San Magnolia operates on democratic principles. Citizens elect their leaders, and we fight to protect our way of life from foreign aggressors.

Millize Vladilena: (Though the way we treat the Eighty-Six is inexcusable... we must do better.)

Cornelia li Britannia: Democracy? Your Republic is just imperialism wearing a mask! You claim equality while sending silver-haired Colorata to die in your unmanned drones.

Cornelia li Britannia: At least Britannia is honest about our hierarchy. We don't pretend our conquered peoples are citizens.

Prinz Eugen: Major Vladilena's precious Republic might be the most impressive empire of all!

Prinz Eugen: They've convinced themselves they're the good guys while sending an entire race to die beyond their walls. Such delicious hypocrisy~

Millize Vladilena: That's precisely what I'm fighting against! The Republic's treatment of the Eighty-Six is unconscionable.

Millize Vladilena: True democracy means equality for all people, regardless of hair color or bloodline. Our current system is a perversion of democratic ideals!

Cornelia li Britannia: And yet you wear that uniform and serve that system. Your idealism means nothing without the power to enforce change.

Cornelia li Britannia: This is why democracies ultimately fail - they lack the conviction to wield absolute power when necessary.

Millize Vladilena: I may only be one voice, but I refuse to abandon my post or my ideals. I will change the Republic from within.

Millize Vladilena: And I don't need to conquer nations or sink ships to prove my worth. The Eighty-Six deserve better... and I will ensure they get it.
