Story transcript

Laios: Look at the mandible articulation. It's almost identical to a blue-shell crab.

Marcille: Please stop being excited about a dead bug that was trying to kill us thirty seconds ago.

Laios: The shell's not damaged. That's actually really good for the honey.

Marcille: ...Honey.

Laios: It stores it in the abdomen. Like a living jar.

Marcille: I know what a living jar is, Laios.

Senshi: The leg joints are the same as any crustacean. You want to pull with the grain, not against it.

Senshi: See? Clean.

Senshi: Honeycomb beetles collect nectar from the dungeon flora and process it in the flight cavity. The muscle and the honey cure each other while it's alive.

Laios: So the meat is already marinated.

Senshi: Has been for years, probably.

Marcille: ...It doesn't look like a bug when it's laid out like that.

Laios: What does it look like?

Marcille: Don't make me say it.

Senshi: The honey burns fast. Keep your face back.

Marcille: I'm not — I'm just watching the technique.

Senshi: Mm.

Laios: Well?

Marcille: I'm not saying anything.

Laios: You don't have to.
