Story transcript
Queen Marika the Eternal: I have heard of this custom from beyond the Lands Between... Mother's Day, they call it.
Queen Marika the Eternal: Perhaps my children will come to pay their respects. It has been... far too long.
Melina: Mother... I have come as summoned.
Melina: Though I walk my own path now, I could not ignore this call.
Queen Marika the Eternal: Melina... my kindling maiden. You came first. How unexpected.
Queen Marika the Eternal: (Of all my children, she is the most distant, the most... enigmatic. Even to me.)
Godwyn the Golden: Mother! Your firstborn has returned to honor you on this special day!
Queen Marika the Eternal: Godwyn, ever radiant. Always punctual.
Queen Marika the Eternal: (My golden child. If only all were as loyal as you.)
Malenia, Blade of Miquella: We have traveled far to see you, Mother. Miquella insisted.
Miquella: Happy Mother's Day, dearest Queen. I brought something I crafted for you.
Miquella: A charm of unalloyed gold to ward off unwanted influences.
Queen Marika the Eternal: Malenia, my warrior. Miquella, my clever one. This is... unexpected.
Queen Marika the Eternal: (If these twins have come, then surely... the others will follow.)
Mohg, Lord of Blood: We heard there was a gathering, Mother. Even the sewers whisper of Mother's Day.
Morgott the Omen King: We did not expect an invitation, but... here we stand nonetheless.
Morgott the Omen King: The Erdtree has always been defended in your absence, Mother.
Queen Marika the Eternal: My children... all of you. Come closer.
Queen Marika the Eternal: For this one day, let us set aside our differences. Even a goddess can learn the value of... motherhood.
