Story transcript

Satan: Mammon is in a hospital. How is that even a sentence?

Him: I do love a crisis with assigned seating.

Satan: Mammon is in the hospital. The Ring of Greed is in ruins. And the culprit is a human pirate named Donquixote Doflamingo.

Scanty: Uncle Satan, a human defeating a Sin violates every infernal hierarchy in Code Section 7, Article 3.

Scanty: It is an outrage against natural order.

Kneesocks: We demand a complete report. Three copies. Stamped.

Kneesocks: Preferably signed by Mammon, if he can still hold a pen.

Him: Oh, I adore the paperwork already.

Satan: Bandaged torso. Cracked jester hat. Three broken ribs. He can barely speak.

Satan: All he can do is scream, “My profits!”

Satan: Invisible strings. Human puppets. Impossible survival.

Satan: That sounds like demonic influence. And I know one demon who loves toys.

Him: Oh, dear.

Him: What a cruel accusation! I swear by my lipstick, I never helped that feathered pirate.

Him: Though... the strings and elegant chaos? Excellent taste.

Satan: You are making this worse.

Him: If I had helped him, the Ring of Greed would be upside down, tied with a pink bow.

Scanty: Then who did?

Kneesocks: I have the official stamps ready.

Satan: You three will investigate together. Find out whether Doflamingo had help from below.

Scanty: Together?

Him: Adorable.

Him: Can I wear the cape and hat?

Kneesocks: Only if they comply with the official inter-ring dress code.

Scanty: Final report due in forty-eight hours. With annexes.

Satan: If anyone hid information, you will fill out the report together. Same pen. No breaks.

Him: What a lovely threat!

Satan: A human put a Sin in the hospital... and I hate that I am impressed.
