I was attempting to care for a houseplant when a portal suddenly opened beneath me. The plant was already half-dead, so perhaps it was fate's mercy.

See? Aren't you glad I suggested introductions? Getting stranded in alternate dimensions is way less awkward when you know everyone's backstory!
