San
The forest seems peaceful today. Even the birds sound happier.
San
Ashitaka, do you think we'll have enough herbs for your trip to Iron Town tomorrow?
Ashitaka
We have plenty, San. Lady Eboshi specifically requested your healing poultice. The miners still speak of how quickly it heals their wounds.
San
The children have been with my brothers too long. I should call them back before sunset.
San
(Even after three years, I still worry when they wander too deep into the forest.)
Ashitaka
Your brothers would die before letting harm come to them. Besides, they need to know both worlds - as we do.

Ashitaka
They are truly children of both worlds, San.
San
I never thought I could love anything human.
San
But they're like you, Ashitaka. They belong to both the forest and the human world - just like our home.
Ashitaka
The Great Forest Spirit may be gone, but its balance lives on - in this place between worlds. In us.
Ashitaka
Though I suspect Lady Eboshi still thinks I'm mad for marrying the fearsome Princess Mononoke.
