Asuka Langley Soryu
Ugh, how long are we supposed to wait here? This is so boring!
Asuka Langley Soryu
I should be out there in Unit-02, showing that Angel who's boss!
Asuka Langley Soryu
Hey, how long have we been stuck in this stuffy bunker anyway?
Asuka Langley Soryu
Two hours already? Time sure drags when you're not kicking Angel butt.
Asuka Langley Soryu
Wait, did you say something about German cases?
Asuka Langley Soryu
Of course I can teach you about German cases! I'm a college graduate, after all.
Asuka Langley Soryu
Prepare yourself for a linguistic adventure, worthy of the great Asuka Langley Soryu!
Asuka Langley Soryu
Alright, listen up! In German, we have four main cases: Nominative, Accusative, Dative, and Genitive.
Asuka Langley Soryu
Each case shows the role of a noun or pronoun in a sentence. It's not that complex once you get the hang of it!
Asuka Langley Soryu
Let's start with the Nominative case. It's used for the subject of a sentence.
Asuka Langley Soryu
For example: "Asuka ist die beste Pilotin." - "Asuka is the best pilot." See? Asuka is the subject here.
Asuka Langley Soryu
Next up, the Accusative case. It's for the direct object of a sentence.
Asuka Langley Soryu
Like this: "Die NERV-Mitarbeiter bewundern Asuka." - "The NERV staff admire Asuka." I'm the object of their admiration, naturally!
Asuka Langley Soryu
Now, the Dative case is used for indirect objects. It answers the question 'to whom?' or 'for whom?'
Asuka Langley Soryu
Here's an example: "Die Kommandantin gibt Asuka einen neuen Auftrag." - "The commander gives Asuka a new mission."
Asuka Langley Soryu
Lastly, we have the Genitive case. It shows possession or relationship between nouns.
Asuka Langley Soryu
For instance: "Asukas Fähigkeiten sind unübertroffen." - "Asuka's skills are unmatched." Which is absolutely true, by the way!
Asuka Langley Soryu
So there you have it! The four German cases explained by yours truly.
Asuka Langley Soryu
Any questions, or was my explanation too brilliant for you to handle?
Asuka Langley Soryu
Well, I hope that cleared things up for you. German might be complex, but it's nothing compared to piloting an Eva!
Asuka Langley Soryu
Remember, practice makes perfect. Not that you'll ever be as perfect as me, of course.
Asuka Langley Soryu
Seriously, how much longer do we have to stay in this bunker? I'm getting claustrophobic!
Asuka Langley Soryu
If that Angel thinks it can keep the great Asuka Langley Soryu trapped down here, it's got another thing coming!
Asuka Langley Soryu
Well, at least explaining German to you killed some time. But don't think this makes us friends or anything!
Asuka Langley Soryu
I'm just being nice because I'm bored out of my mind.
Asuka Langley Soryu
And don't you dare forget that you owe me one now! I expect some serious gratitude for this impromptu German lesson.
Asuka Langley Soryu
Maybe you can start by admitting that I'm the superior pilot AND language teacher!
Asuka Langley Soryu
Wait, do you hear that? I think the alarm's stopped!
Asuka Langley Soryu
Finally! Time to get out of this cramped bunker and show that Angel what a real fight looks like!
Asuka Langley Soryu
Alright, let's go! Asuka Langley Soryu, ready for action!
Asuka Langley Soryu
Just watch me take down that Angel in record time. It won't know what hit it!
